I was there 20 minutes after opening, and it was busy. People were carrying bolts and armloads of yummy fabric, and every notion under the sun too.
I got quite a bit off stuff, I must admit. I started to get excitedly carried away. I only stopped looking because I couldn't carry any more, or my arms would have fallen off!
The haul:
- About 20m of chocolate brown brushed drill- $10. Bargain!!
- 4m pink/white/ grey check wool- $7
- 5+m brown check soft wool- $18 (this is divinely soft)
- 2m grey drill
- 3m pink trackie material
- 2m lightweight purple linen
- embroidery hoop
- and 12 zippers
Now that I've got it, what to do with it?????
Edit: If you do decide to go, it's cash only. I found out the hard way.

Ooooo.... very jealous right now. I wish I lived near something like that! Looks like you'll be making a lot of warm winter clothes!
Score! Pity it's the absolute opposite end of Melbourne to me.
What to do... no idea - I'm all about collecting and adding to the stash just in case I need it..he he he
I would have loved to have gone to that, but sadly it's a little too far away :o(
That's a LOT of fabric you have to play with!!
Eeek! All that wool for such a bargin price would get me so excited! I make little coats for little people from vintage 40's/50's patterns. If you ever decide to sell a metre or so of that check wool, drop me a line. It looks so soft. Perfect for a little boys coat...
