--cool colours---

Here are the colours chosen for the new little mans cot quilt (my first ever quilt attempt).

The colours may look strange, but I'm told they'll all tie in together nicely at the end. Wish me luck!

Mini quilt inspiration!

This 'thank you' mini quilt from CB Handmade is so adorable. Just perfect for that special crafty someone.
Yet another project to add to my never ending to do list.

--pillow talk--

A small something I whipped up for a gorgeous little boys 2nd birthday.

Only problem was the pattern was for a 12" cushion. Do you think I could find one that size at the last minute....nope. So unfortunately, a 'squished' 14" had to make do.

it's nearly here

Its is hard to think that 2009 is drawing to a close. The year has absolutely flown by and extremely little blogging has been done. It's a very sad state of affairs really.

Anyway, to make me look forward to 2010 (scary), I stumbled upon this very crafty wall calendar at Whip Up. It features all sorts of wonderfully gorgeous craftiness from very creative sorts- I particularly like 'Dear Fi'- February's feature. She has a lovely blog that I love to peruse.
Hopefully it will give me some inspiration to dust off the sewing machine.

escape

On a weekend escape we did go,
to kickback, relax and take it slow.

To get in touch with nature again,
and a little tent to call our den.

A crackling fire to keep warm at night,
Cooking marshmallows- a simple delight.

So sad that our time must end,
but we'll be back- just don't know when.
